Dr. Onaikhe Mary Bishop-Lawrence is an esteemed Social Development Expert with extensive experience managing international and national gender projects. With a profound commitment to gender equality and social justice, Dr. Mary has dedicated her career to empowering communities and advocating for the rights of marginalized individuals, particularly women and girls.

As the Managing Director of Q&H Global Consult and the National Gender Advisor/Social Safeguard Consultant for the Nigeria for Women Project (NFWP), funded by the World Bank and the Federal Government of Nigeria, Dr. Mary has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in gender programming, GBV risk analysis, prevention and mitigation, empowerment programs, stakeholder engagements, and dispute resolution.

Beyond her project management roles, Mary has served as a valued consultant across Nigeria, facilitating training workshops and developing guidelines, procedures, and strategies related to the Environmental and Social Framework, GBV prevention and response, disabilities inclusion, women's empowerment, and promoting community wellbeing.

  • Leadership Roles: Mary has served as an Assistant Manager at Trevari Group Limited, where she played a pivotal role in business strategy development, organizational transformation, and project management.
  • Research and Academia: Mary's academic background includes research assistant roles at Discovery Cycle Professionals (DCP) and laboratory technologist positions at Santa Maria Hospital. These experiences have equipped her with a solid foundation in research methodology and scientific inquiry.
